Welcome to Week 5, Term 2. We have been having a great time in the pool this term, even though it has been cold outside…..it’s toasty warm in our pool at 34 degrees! Lots of progress has been made, especially for those attending our Infants classes. Swimming all year round
Welcome to Week 8. Last week was our Swim Safe’R’ week where we learnt about how to be safe around our Rivers, Lakes and Dams. As always, the kids had a fantastic time, especially those that had their mums join them in the pool. Wednesday afternoon children had a great opp
Welcome to Week 6 of Term 1. Did you see us at Goulburn Show? Our famous dolphin was on a mission last weekend to meet as many youngsters as possible wandering around the show. Were you lucky enough to snap a selfie? If so, please send them to us so we can share them. Swim Safe’
Welcome to Week 4 of Term 1. A huge congratulations to all of our swimmers who have recently competed in their school carnivals. We have had some fantastic results with many going on to the next level competition. Remember, to compete is an achievement in itself. If anyone has any pho
Hello again everyone. A bit later this week, but better "late than never".
We have had a very busy week so far with new bookings every day. Lots of infants coming now the weather is warming up. However, with the pool water being 34 degrees & the pool being indoors, there is no reason not to swim in winter.
Our mini squads are doing really well this term. The Monday night kids are coping well with breaststroke & their freestyle & backstroke is looking really good.
Thursday nights kids are also doing really well. These kids are at a higher level & put away a lot of laps every week. Their strokes are becoming really set which helps them retain the skill.
If anyone is thinking about taking part in an Austswim Teacher training course in the near future, please let me know. I am conducting one in ACT on 28/29th October. It is a very rewarding profession & you can always be assured of work.
Hello again everyone. Well, we are off to a great start to term 4, 2017. Lots of new families have joined us & our teachers are ready for a very exciting term.
We have all our squads back in action this week, so we are hoping they have been practicing during the holidays. This term we will be concentrating on getting the children ready for the school swimming carnivals which happen usually early in term 1.
We have Infants lessons at 10.30 am each day Monday to Saturday, so if you have an infant you were going to book in, please do so asap. We have had a lot of bookings over the holidays, so the groups could be quite large on some days.
Good morning all. We are well into the Holiday Program this week & getting amazing results. New children who haven't had any water experience are doing really well, gaining lots of confidence.
We are closed next week & re-open on Monday 9th October for term 4. There are very limited spots left on some days, so if you wish to book your child/children in for term 4 to get them ready for summer, phone now on 48212553.
Parents please remember that children don't learn to swim in a week. i know money can be an issue, but you can't put a price on a life. Swimming is a "life skill" & every child should learn to swim.
It is very concerning to hear that FREE lessons have been offered this week at certain swim schools for under 5 year olds & hardly anybody has taken up the offer. We offered this service last year with only 1 or 2 parents interested. Consequently we decided this year not to offer it. This is the best way to start the kids off with swimming lessons, but the parents must be commited to save these lives.
We have Infant Aquatic lessons at 10.30am every day Monday through to Saturday during school terms. We start the babies from 8 weeks as long as they have had their injections & it has been proven that the earlier they start lessons, the quicker they learn vital water safety skills.
